Why you should have a blog for your Business
A Blog is web space for online content that feeds readers (RRS) on to your web site. It's more than just words on a page.
It's usually an intriguing idea that will engage readers. In such a post the writer adds his/her insights to the topic--some invite comments. A business may use a blog to promote their products or services. The blog may be used to connect with potential customers. Wordpress is the most popular platform used. Check out wordpress.com.
The main purpose of a Blog is to drive more traffic to your website--it increases your authority. It usually contains images, info-graphics, and links to connect to other people's websites. A blog can be written to promote your business, or it can be written to communicate your ideas and seek other people's opinions. Blogs work best when the writer promotes comments, and will receive more follows and shares on social media. Many blogs are about an individual's passions or hobbies.
One way you can plan your content for search engines is to use google key word planner. It's a great tool to help readers find your content.
Blogs help you connect with other readers about important and informative content. The writer usually has chosen a niche related to specific questions or problems that readers face. If the content is useful then readers often share the article on various forms of social media. The use of images makes the content more engaging for readers- the images should be appropriate to the content, and should point to the sources at the bottom of the image...or it is infringement of copy write. There are several places where you can get free images, the best place is the public domain. See flickr.com for free images. Info graphics are pictures turned into graphs instead of using boring text. They can be used to show data. A great source of free images are in public domains. One I use is royaltyfreeimages.com.
Links are websites that take you directly to the page. It is recommended that blogs contain at least three links per post. Links help direct more traffic to your site. Outbound links provide more information to your posts, and inbound links are those sites that point readers to your site. Inbound links increase your authority, and outbound links increase the traffic to your site.
