"Words" are the magic behind your content. Engage Your audience with great content to increase conversions and site authority.
Some Tips for Writing Your Website
Use short sentences and short paragraphs but no need to use one line paragraphs through your whole copy. Having said that, this method is used in Sales copy to make it easier to read. Most of the time a three or four line paragraph will do.
Your website is your Castle
Most people come to your site because they want more information. So give it to them in a way they can easily relate to. Good content will be remembered and shared with others. Don't worry too much about the rumors that say people don't read.
It's how the message is crafted that counts. Despite popular opinion, people will read, if they are interested and you have enough content to keep them engaged. Adding fresh content encourages them to return.
Most people like visuals too but it's important to remember that search engines don't recognize images the way they recognize text.
Some copywriters believe that images should be used only when words alone can't get the message across.
Claude Hopkins (famous copywriter) believed that "advertising" isn't supposed to be entertaining and funny. "Money spending is a serious matter."
Having lots of text with the aid of images works well. There should be a balance of text and images with good captions.
The amount of text you use per page is important. The search engines like to see at least 500 words per page. More is better!
The important thing to note is that you can't repeat stuff from one page to another, or the search engines will penalize you.
